Come and join the Intel Costa Rica Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group as a Cloud Software Development Engineer.
You will be part of a technical team chartered to build Customer Fleet and Scale Capabilities for server customers to enable on-time high-quality launches of Intel server programs, as well as in-Fleet product experience.
You must be a quick learner, results oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
Ability to learn, adopt and implement world-class software per Intel Software practices.
You will have the opportunity to participate in various projects as part of product development or research.
The focus of this position is to work in the validation and development of Software products by creating new tests, test plans, automate existing tests, improve the test coverage for the features developed and implement code by working alongside with other software development engineers.
Activities include but not limited to:

- Software development and testing automation.
- Perform manual and automated testing.
- Document test cases.
- Record test progress and results.
- Create test plans.
- Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
- Discover bugs within software.
- Participate in software release activities.
- Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing.
- Identify any potential problems that users might encounter.
In this position you will need to:

- Extending and creating a set of customer-consumable Software used for visibility into system state (Intel Architecture cores, memory, peripherals, busses, etc.).
These Software are used at both component and system levels, including reliability, availability and serviceability.
- Enabling customers with strategies and solutions using such software to solve in-field and at scale challenges.
- Helping to define, specify and drive initiatives and features required from the systems architecture to enable diagnostics and debug.
- Solve -in production
- debug issues for customers server designs via scaled enablement of diagnostic software.
- The position will involve developing code in Python or C/C++ to create software and automated tests.
It will also involve leveraging existing code and debugging and fixing issues in the existing code bases, which are large and complex.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 2+ years of below experience OR a Master's Degree in same areas with only academic experience.
- Python programming.
- Version control and continuous integration tools (GIT, GITHUB, SVN, etc.)
- Advanced English Level.
- Must have permanent unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.
**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Exposure to C/C++ programming, data structures, algorithms and Operating Systems
- Knowledge in LINUX development environments.
Knowledge of Linux internals is a plus.
- Knowledge in Embedded systems, microcontrollers and CPU architecture knowledge.
Intel x86 is a plus.
- Ability to use Hardware low-level APIs components such as I/O's, interrupts, network communication protocols, etc.
- Knowledge in Cloud Architecture/Infrastructure as a power user (Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.)
