No importa cuál sea su puesto, hay una serie de cosas fundamentales que apoyan el éxito-crear un espacio de trabajo seguro; seguir las políticas y procedimientos de la compañía, mantener los estándares de calidad y asegurarse de que su uniforme, apariencia personal y comunicación sean profesionales en todo momento. El Experto de servicios al huésped estará siempre en marcha (se pone de pie, se sienta, anda durante largos ratos, pasa por áreas estrechas, confinadas, o espacios elevados igual que sube o baja las escaleras y/o rampas de servicio); tomando un papel activo, (se debe poder moverse, levantar, empujar, tirar, y colocar objetos sin ayuda que pesen menos o igual a 50 libras y 100 libras con ayuda; llegar arriba y debajo de las rodillas, flexionar, torcer, tirar y agachar). Haciendo todas las tareas de la mejor manera (y otras tareas razonables solicitadas), es crítico que los Expertos de servicio al huésped hagan bien las cosas para los huéspedes y el negocio cada vez.
