Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related fields
- +6 years of relevant work experience
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of SQL with experience writing SQL queries
- Advanced knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python)
- Experience with AWS solutions such as Redshift, S3, EC2, and DynamoDB
- Experience with statistical analysis and R
- Experience in designing and delivering cross functional custom reporting solutions
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer - Manager to join our growing team. This person will own the coordination and execution of the production and delivery of a suite of reports regularly used by the organization to make key business decisions.

Business Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers focused on finance process automation and improvement, delivering projects against a productivity target set by the organization.
- Lead the due diligence process in terms of the nature of the intake activities, understand the effort estimation, tech skills required, appropriate resource fitment and builds consensus with business and operations teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Makes technical trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term goals at the time of due diligence.
- Be responsible for taking data analysis and insights capability to the next level; working with data infrastructure to ensure the data is accessible, auditing existing visualization dashboards, and working with stakeholders to recommend and create new reporting/insights
- Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
- Diving deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
- Working directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities Tools used include: 1. SQL (Oracle and Redshift) 2. ETL tools (internal) 3. Excel 4. Tableau 5. Python.
- Improve the Knowledge management environment by providing guidance in technical documentation / working papers
- People effectiveness - Actively participate in the hiring process as well as mentor others - improving their skills, their technical knowledge, and their ability to get things done.

Tech Skills
- Data Warehousing, Modelling and SQL expertise to build and optimize queries and extract data
- VBA and Python expertise to handle large data sets and smoothen existing/redundant processes
- Visualization expertise to create stand-alone dashboards using visualization tools i.e. QuickSight, Power BI & Tableau
- Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting / visualization tools (Excel, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Cubes, etc.)
- Experience data modeling and transformation of large scale data sources using SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, EMR, or other Big Data technologies
- Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python, Perl, R etc. )
- Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Experience using very large datasets
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities and projects
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, communicating
