As part of our expansion plans as a growing, global organization, Costa Rica was chosen to open a Shared Services Center, which started operations in December 2020. While our Costa Rica business office is based in the beautiful and sunny province of Heredia, at a convenient We Work building with wonderful co-working space, most of our global team members in Costa Rica are able to work exclusively from home.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Assistant Controller works closely with the Corporate Controller, Divisional Controllers, CFO, and other department leaders to deliver relevant forecasts, reports, analyses, and information used by senior management for monitoring and ensuring revenue, expense, and profitability goals are achieved in line with overall company objectives and strategy.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Develop accurate and timely financial forecasts and analyses; interpret and convey complex financial information for decision-making purposes; prepare and report cash requirements by engaging department heads in discussions and updates; present regular updates to CFO/CEO for discussion, interpretation, and evaluation.
- Understand and compile data obtained from department leaders and international teams and the ability to interpret results of analyses using insight into operations, context, and verified/corroborated information.
- Manage reporting requirements under the bank credit agreement, including forecasts of monthly combined consolidating balance sheets, statements of operations, and statements of cash flows.
- Assist the Accounting Department in interim and year-end activities, including participation in annual audits and US GAAP financial reporting.
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to create in-depth analyses and ad hoc reporting.
- Prepare trends and analyses to identify cost savings opportunities and make recommendations.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- **Bilingual (English & Spanish) is required for this position. Must demonstrate the ability to read, speak, and write in English**:

- Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting
- Public accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
- Microsoft Dynamics AX or comparable Tier 2 ERP system
- Familiarity working in a multi-currency environment
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Consolidation of financial statements
- Persuasive and influential communication techniques for engaging with leaders, colleagues, and associates to ensure accountability, accuracy, and timeliness of information used for forecasting
- Well-developed skills in prioritizing, organization, decision-making, and time management
