**About the role**:
DHL Express is hiring a Billing Specialist to join its Heredia, Costa Rica team. In this role, you will deliver support and output to achieve correct, complete and timely invoicing. Provide quality checking/ reporting / reconciliation / analysis services and tools to support Billing Operations.
Able to operate for different time zone as required and follow BP's Public Holiday (which is different from SSC location Public Holiday)
**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure the team works and adheres to agreed procedures, to ensure ongoing standardization of work practices, to protect efficiency gains achieved within the department.
- Display role modeling in terms of active leadership and employee engagement.
- Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.
- Review IKOs/KPIs with team members.
- Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and according to prescribed deadlines.
- Support and follow up on business partner issue log to ensure closure as per agreed timeline.
- Coordinates and develop weekly, month-end reporting according to agreed deadlines.
- Make ongoing contribution to the created work instructions for the respective work area, ensuring same are audited on a frequent basis to keep them continuously aligned and up to date.
- Provide user support with regards to tools and processes.
- Analyze reconciliation discrepancies and recommend actions / ways forward.
- Load billing data into the validation tools to produce maintenance reports.
- Maintain and prepare data for transfer to produce accurate billing invoices/credits.
- Produce monthly figures for Billing and provide management information.
- Ensure all billing and receivables data interfaces and numbers are correct and streamlined where needed.
- Report/analyze/distribute billing related reports e.g. about the status of billing runs against plans.
- Setting up/improving, testing and implementing systems and processes.
- Contribute in all aspects of a project lifecycle (e.g. help outline the needs, design and build tools, prepare testing and execute testing).
- Contribute in issues resolution report/analyze/communicate billing related numbers and statistics e.g. invoice dispatch.
- Report/analyze/distribute billing related reports e.g. about the status of billing runs against plans.
- Report and reconcile daily / monthly billing data.
- Provide and demonstrate the work done according to internal control procedures.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Advance MS Windows, Office 365 & Excel as an end user.
- 1 - 3.5 years’ experience in a finance environment, preferably in a similar position and SSC environment
- Fresh Graduates or currently studying Business Administration or related careers.
- English written (80%) and speaking (80%).
