What will be your responsibilities:
The Supervisor plays a crucial role within the RTR Team, directly reporting to the RTR Manager. This individual will oversee all operational aspects of the team, serving as the primary escalation point for both internal and external clients. Additionally, they will monitor, assess, and rectify the team's operational performance, focusing on general accounting Analysts.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Manage the team's performance and KPI's effectively.
- Ensure high levels of employee engagement within the team.
- Supervise month-end closing activities and communicate potential risks and opportunities to the Manager.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of period close processes and account reconciliations.
- Lead in the migration of work activities from other Stryker sites, including knowledge transfer and documentation.
- Conduct analysis of balance sheet and P&L transactions.
- Review, control, and approve account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing accounting processes and driving improvements.
- Ensure comprehensive completion of Sox controls.
- Take a leadership stance in resolving accounting issues and ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
- Foster partnerships with various internal departments, locations, regions, and clients.
- Execute special projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to uphold policies.
Education & special training requirements:
- Preferably possess a University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
Qualifications & experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor within business-to-business RTR teams.
