Amazon Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) plays a crucial role in the company's mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company.

FGBS comprises finance functions such as Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Tax, and other functions like Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), Investor Relations, and Benchmarking.

The FGBS team is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Accounts Payable Corporate operations at SJO. The AP Corporate Operations team manages payments to vendors for various categories of Amazon's expenses, including corporate expenses, Employee Expense reports, and Amazon Web Services.

As an Accounts Payable Analyst II (Critical/Non- Critical Vendors), you will play a vital role in supporting the procure to pay process.

The responsibilities include invoice processing, troubleshooting, and reporting with a strong focus on controllership and customer obsession.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the end-to-end accounts payable process in a high-energy environment. They will collaborate with LATAM countries, and familiarity with at least one supported country is preferred.

As an AP Analyst II, you will assist in trend analysis and root cause exercises, contributing to customer experience enhancements.

Building partnerships with vendors and peers is essential, and the right candidate will demonstrate effective team collaboration and create a positive work environment.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Support invoice processing, troubleshooting, and invoicing for critical or non-critical vendors in LATAM.
  • Conduct root cause research for payment accuracy issues in collaboration with peers and managers.
  • Assist in vendor trends analysis and act as the main contact for top Amazon vendors.
  • Prepare vendor health scorecards and address vendor inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain compliance best practices and advocate for Amazon guidelines and local legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to establish scalable processes and focus on controllership.

We are considering candidates for locations including Heredia, H, CRI.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of finance operations experience, preferably in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger.
  • Experience in driving process improvements independently.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese proficiency is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in accounting reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Financials or other ERPs.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and influence upwards.
  • Strong initiative, creativity, and ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload effectively.
