BAT COSTA RICA IS LOOKING FOR A FINANCE LEAD (CFIN) "CENTRAL FINANCE"

SENIORITY LEVEL: Manager

FUNCTION: Finance

LOCATION: Heredia, Costa Rica

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The key purpose of this role is to support management and statutory financial reporting within BAT for Group Senior Management. The successful candidate will be closely monitoring the reporting of data, ensuring all related activities are carried out in compliance with the agreements. Duties also include overseeing and leading day-to-day financial activities and providing advice and mentorship for the finance users.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Perform 3-way reconciliation between SAP ECC (transactional finance system), CFIN (Central Finance) and BPC (Reporting tool) for all relevant BAT company codes. Ownership of the BAU system functionality updates, improvements, and critical fixes throughout the whole process: business requirement and/or issue identification, testing, official release date and communication. Solve CFIN related incidents raised by finance users or identified as part of daily activities (this includes root cause analysis of issues in consultation with IT experts, BOC and COEs). Raise finance/IT incidents and follow-up with the relevant stakeholders for resolution. Build inhouse capability for smooth landing of subsequent CFIN phases/changes, following the agreements with the relevant stakeholders Review and sign off user acceptance tests. Build BW "business warehouse" data flow knowledge and use it to identify where issue lies. Keep the relevant documentation up to date. Train and communicate to the finance community in case of changes/updates/delays relevant for CFIN system. Embed Group reporting principles and manage system readiness during reporting cycles. Work in close collaboration with the Global, Regional and Business Units teams to ensure successful delivery of reporting processes, allowing appropriate management of their expectations and ensure excellent & effective working relationships are maintained. Find opportunities to simplify the reporting processes and drive efficiencies analysing most frequent queries/issues raised to the Support Team.

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

Do you have previous experience working in a Shared Services industry or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods environment? Do you have proven experience as a Senior Analyst?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

Graduated with a bachelor’s in finance, accounting, or economic degree. Experience in multinational organizations with not less than five years’ experience in the Shared Services industry. Proven experience as a Senior Analyst. Excellent written and spoken English. Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP/BPC/BI/CFIN and communication tools (PowerPoint). Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel. Ability to define and prioritise work based on value to business. Excellent analytical skills and ability to look beyond the numbers to identify trends and insights.
