HOUSE DIRECTOR / OPERATIONS MANAGER (Startup Leadership Role)

Origin Mansion – Los Yoses, San José

₡750,000–₡1,000,000 (Contract) + Bonuses + Profit Share

Bilingual required (high-level English + Spanish)

Origin Mansion is a startup hospitality + social-wellness house built around a 12-room boutique hotel and a collection of curated spaces — a full hot–cold wellness circuit (sauna, hammam, cold plunge), jacuzzi, rooftop lounge, bar lounge with karaoke stage, game room, gym, and multiple social areas for social and wellness-driven experiences.

We will host a mix of hotel guests, wellness visitors, and event attendees each week.

Origin is designed to become one of Costa Rica's most unique social-wellness destinations.

To reach that vision, we're establishing a strong, consistent, and scalable operational base.

This role reports directly to ownership and plays a central part in shaping the systems, standards, and culture of the house.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is a full-time, on-site role with a primarily afternoon–evening schedule (including weekends during events).

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily flow, ambiance, and readiness across guest rooms and all amenity spaces.
  • Ensure the sauna, hammam, cold plunge, and jacuzzi operate smoothly with a premium, polished presentation.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and an overall guest experience that feels exclusive and elevated, rooted in warmth, consistency, and attention to detail.

Team & Event Oversight

  • Lead a small team of freelancers and support staff (cleaners, bar, DJs, photographers, event crew).
  • Run weekly events from setup to close, ensuring smooth flow and strong guest energy.
  • To start, we are planning one flagship Saturday event and a couple of smaller themed nights during the week.
  • Handle guest satisfaction, solve issues calmly, and help shape the team culture and service standards.

Systems & Reporting

  • Build and refine checklists, procedures, and operational systems as the house evolves.
  • Track key operational metrics and deliver clear, actionable updates directly to ownership.

Rotating operational and event staff will support you as needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in hospitality, boutique hotels, event venues, coworking spaces, wellness centers, or multi-space properties.
  • Confident leadership, communication, and decision-making.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment with growing systems.
  • Bilingual required (high-level English + Spanish).
  • Must issue factura profesional.

COMPENSATION

  • ₡750,000–₡1,000,000 base (contract)
  • Monthly performance bonuses: Based on operational quality and event success
  • Profit share: Tied to events + house performance

Total earnings potential for top performers: ₡1,500,000–₡2,000,000+ monthly as systems mature and revenue grows.
