Does this sound like the right place for you? **What you will do** We are looking for a mid to senior level Legal Counsel to join our fast-growing Sysdig Legal team, reporting to the Senior Director of Legal. You will become the "go to" resource for regional and global legal issues and contracts of all kinds, with an emphasis on supporting our global Sales team and negotiating commercial deals on a worldwide basis. **What you will bring with you** - Legal education from a reputable university in Costa Rica - At least 10 years of relevant experience as qualified attorney practicing law in a regional level (Latam, Caribbean, North America, Europe etc), preferably part of it as an in-house counsel in a high growth SaaS environment - Excellent drafting, decision-making, and efficient deal closure skills - You have experience with privacy matters, including experience negotiating Data Processing Agreements - You have experience with data protection matters, including evaluating customer and vendor security requirements in a SaaS environment - You are comfortable with channel business, including alliances and partner program development. - Experience in employment, IP, M&A, and/or working with open source software is a bonus (or a willingness to learn) - Experience working with and managing outside counsel **What we look for** - A sense of humor, positivity, and a roll up your sleeves "can do" attitude are absolute musts - Excellent interpersonal skills (with all parties at all levels, both internal and external) - Appetite for collaboration and problem solving - Ability to work independently, with sound business-forward advice - Ability to take and drive projects to closure - Ability to support commercial activity throughout the sales cycle, with emphasis on fiscal quarter end - Ability to pivot quickly when needed, and enjoy building processes that appropriately scale a growing business - A willingness to take on new challenges or learn a new area of legal practice - Comfortable with having a manager who is remote (US-based) **Why work at Sysdig?** - We're a well-funded startup that already has a large enterprise customer base - We have a pragmatic, transparent culture, from the CEO down - We have an organizational focus on delivering value to customers **When you join Sysdig, you can expect**: - Competitive compensation including equity opportunities - Flexible hours and unlimited time off - Additional recharge days - Health Savings, Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts - Mental wellbeing support through Modern Health for you and your family - Monthly wellness reimbursement - Career growth
