San José, San José, Costa Rica Propelus A tiempo completo $120.000 - $180.000 al año

Propelus streamlines workforce compliance management for healthcare. Our innovative technology and strategic partnerships empower millions of professionals and their employers, regulators, and partners to work together, ensuring a better-connected and more efficient healthcare ecosystem.

For over 20 years, Propelus has been a trusted leader, providing seamless compliance solutions to millions of professionals. We leverage market-leading technology and essential data to simplify complex operations, reduce risk, and promote a safer, healthier, happier workforce and better communities.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for the Propelus Data Platform. Your mission is to empower the entire organization with trustworthy, accessible, and actionable data, transforming our data ecosystem into the core engine for decision-making and product innovation. This role is equal parts strategist, technical partner, and business leader, requiring a proven track record of delivering measurable business value from modern data stacks.

What You'll Own & Drive

  • Define Data Platform Strategy: Define and evangelize the overarching vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform and analytics ecosystem, ensuring clear alignment with key company objectives and revenue goals.
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Prioritization: Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance) and technical teams, translating ambiguous business needs into a prioritized data product backlog. Own and ruthlessly prioritize this backlog, balancing technical debt, immediate stakeholder needs, and long-term strategic investments.
  • End-to-End Data Product Lifecycle: Own the lifecycle for critical data products, including data ingestion pipelines, our data warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and the frameworks for deploying Machine Learning (ML) models.
  • Requirements & Execution: Write clear, concise, and technically sound user stories and requirements for Data Engineers and Data Scientists, ensuring the "why" behind each initiative is understood for effective execution.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Champion data governance, quality, and discoverability. You will be directly responsible for building trust in our data and establishing the "single source of truth" for key business metrics.
  • Technical Partnership: Partner closely with Data Engineering on strategic trade-offs regarding architecture, tooling, and infrastructure to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Data-Powered Features: Collaborate with other Product Managers to identify and deliver data-powered features within our SaaS application, such as customer health scoring, personalization, and recommendation engines.

What You'll Do

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2+ years specifically in a data-focused role (Data Product Manager, Technical PM on a data team, etc.).
  • A strong technical understanding of modern data architecture, including data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran), ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams (Engineering, Science, Business) without direct authority in a highly technical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a particular talent for explaining complex data architecture and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development and experience working in sprints with a dedicated data or engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining frameworks for Machine Learning or predictive analytics deployment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
Benefits and Perks for Propelus employees include but are not limited to:
  • Awarded one of BuiltIn's 2025 Best Places to Work and honored as a Silver Stevie Award Winner in the 2025 Stevie Awards For Great Employers.
