The IT Server Administrator/Tech Support role ensures the availability, reliability, and security of the company's network systems and server infrastructure. This role encompasses three primary functions: server and cloud administration, customer/production infrastructure administration, and office tech support.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's network systems and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Install computer systems, routers, switches, local area networks (LAN), and wide area networks (WAN).
- Resolve complex technical problems related to servers, networks, and software.
- Execute backup and recovery of the servers and monitor their performance.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and commands to automate tasks.
- Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including user accounts and email setup.
- Document software installations, upgrades, and hardware replacements.
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Participates in the on-call role as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in IT, including server, cloud administration, and networking.
- 2+ years of experience with VMware clusters and solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure and security.
- 3+ years of experience with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Intermediate verbal and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge of Containers (Kubernetes or Docker).
- Microsoft certifications.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
