While our Costa Rica business office is based in the beautiful and sunny province of Heredia, at a convenient We Work building with wonderful co-working space, most of our global team members in Costa Rica are able to work exclusively from home.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Accounts Receivable Associates to ensure the company receives payments for goods sold by properly recording the transactions and effectively following up for collections. They will support accounting operations by filing documents and data entry responsibilities. This individual will examine and analyze accounts and assist the Accounts Receivable department in preparing statements and invoices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Enter invoices and payment information for customers in Microsoft AX.
  • Prepare and send customer invoices and statements.
  • Process customer payments, debit memos, credit memos & write-off.
  • Maintain customer master account information.
  • Process credit applications and new customer setup.
  • Contact customers regarding questions, issues, payment status, reasons for non-payment and follow-up for collection. This includes AR contacting customers and customers contacting AR and the research involved.
  • Prepare ageing reports for management review, and reconciliation reports between Microsoft AX and Retail Pro monthly.
  • Open, receive and process daily AR mail from retail stores.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is required for this position. Must demonstrate the ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or 2 years equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts receivable billing and collections.
  • Experience in Microsoft AX, Retail Pro.
  • Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, etc.
  • Understanding on how to use SharePoint, Business Objects and Workfront.
  • Minimum Internet Speed: 100 Mbps upload/download.
  • Quiet, private, distraction-free home workspace with no conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts.
