Job Description
Reporting to the AR Manager, the Credit & Accounts Receivable Supervisor position manages, supports, and coordinates the credit and accounts receivable team. The position will be part of the Global Business Service located in the Escazú area. The individual may also be required to provide input to or participate in various projects and will perform other duties as requested.

Responsibilities
Credit Supervision:

• Review and approve customer credit limits and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Monitor customer accounts for credit risk and payment behavior.
• Place accounts on hold and coordinate release decisions as needed.
• Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers.
• Prepare credit reports and support audits.

Accounts Receivable Supervision:

• Supervise AR analysts and coordinators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer payments and resolution of discrepancies.
• Monitor AR aging reports, minimize overdue receivables, and implement effective collection strategies.
• Prepare and present AR metrics and reports (e.g., DSO, collection rates, aging trends) to management.
• Support internal and external audits related to AR activities.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

• Lead and develop the credit & AR team, including performance reviews, training, and onboarding.
• Organize team meetings and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements and standardization within the credit and AR functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or equivalent

• 5 years of accounting or AR experience in a multinational company.

  
  

• 2 years of experience in Credit Management positions

  
  

• 2 years of experience in supervisory/leadership roles.

  
  
• Strong knowledge of SAP, advanced Excel, and Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (C1/C2) and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of North America credit and AR processes and requirements.
