Huntsman is seeking a
Senior FP&A Specialist
supporting the Functions & Corporate Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the FP&A Manager, Functions & Corporate.

Job Scope
The Senior FP&A Specialist will provide high-quality financial planning and analysis support to assigned functional teams. Acting as a trusted business partner, this role helps leaders understand financial performance, drive effective decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency.

In Summary, As The Senior FP&A Specialist, You Will

• Partner with functional teams to gather, validate, and align financial data with business goals.
• Monitor actual spend and update forecasts to anticipate future financial needs.
• Analyze trends and variances across sub-functions to identify cost drivers and efficiency opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports detailing spend, forecasts, and budget variances.
• Lead annual budget and monthly forecast cycles with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure financial reports are clear, accurate, and aligned with internal standards and corporate policies.
• Identify and resolve gaps in financial systems and processes.
• Continuously improve financial workflows, data flows, and forecasting tools.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance on data refreshes, access controls, and automation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and cost allocation principles.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations and documentation.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives to enhance forecasting and reporting capabilities.
• Supervise the FP&A Intern and mentor junior finance associates.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.
Minimum Qualifications

• Proven ability in forecasting and financial analysis.
• Education required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience required: 6+ years of experience in FP&A.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ability to learn multiple systems (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, SAP HANA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial systems such as IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, or SAP HANA.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff.
• Familiarity with corporate digital transformation initiatives in finance.
