Job description:

About the role:

The hired professional will be responsible for supporting an embedded Tableau platform.

A day in this role:

  • Design, develop and support Tableau dashboards
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract data from Redshift
  • Write and run Python/PowerShell/Bash scripts for automation and maintenance activities
  • Support existing scripts and workflows that leverage Tableau APIs to manage Tableau access
  • Create and maintain report specifications and process documentations as part of the required data deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and ETL teams to discover and leverage new data being introduced into the environment
  • Communicating with business partners, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, articulate data deliverables, and provide technical designs.
  • Serve as liaison with business and technical teams to achieve project objectives, delivering cross-functional reporting solutions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize an evolving workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participant in production on-call support rotation.

The expertise requested:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in BI development and support
  • 5 years of experience in Tableau desktop dashboard development and support
  • 5 years of experience with SQL
  • 1 year of experience with Python
  • 1 year of experience in Tableau server administration, including installation and optimization
  • 3 years of experience with AWS data ecosystem (Redshift, S3, etc.)
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills between business partners and technical teams
  • Highly motivated self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to formulate innovative solutions
