We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Senior Credit Manager for our Treasury and Credit organization at our Corporate Headquarters located in Costa Rica, Heredia.
In this role as the Americas Senior Credit Manager, you will support four divisions in the oversight of credit management and collection of trade debt. The portfolio consists of Accounts Receivables and thousands of customers from small standalone enterprises to multi-national companies.
What will be expected of you?- Lead the Americas Credit team (7 -13 employees)- Work with team to manage credit exposure, collection of trade debt, and support credit risk assessments- Manage all aspects related to Credit in Americas to ensure the local operations are fully compliant with global policies and standards, cost effective, and high quality and added value to the business operations.- Support the credit risk assessments of our shared service credit analysis team in Kuala Lumpur.-
- Ensure compliance and credit approvals within our Global Credit Policy.- Work with business divisions to continually increase awareness of Credit management objectives and resolve customer issues.- Provide management reporting of the performance of the group against objectives. Propose and manage to agree to targets.- Skilled in financial statement analysis and make credit limit recommendations. Provide approvals within delegated authority.- Provide training and development of staff and ensure compliance with all the required training by staff.- Prepare and manage to annual budgets.- Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities.- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required- A Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting with 10+ years of specific experience preferably in the chemical business.- Experience with credit agency reporting including S&P, Credit Risk Monitor, and D&B required.- Experience with systems including SAP and FSCM is a plus.- Strong technical and analytical background and financial statement analysis expertise.- Demonstrated track record of roles with increasing responsibility. Prior management experience required.- Fluency in English, Spanish is essential. Additional languages like Portuguese are a plus- A Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting is a plus.
