The Global Functional Communications Specialist will be one of a team of internal communications and design experts based around the globe. Supporting GREF’s functional teams, you will deliver exceptional written content for various channels in support of GREF’s business initiatives, strategic communications roadmap, team engagement and other, special communication needs.

Acting like a journalist, you will use your intense curiosity and keen relationship-building skills to interact with both GREF and JLL team members to bring their stories to the surface, find new and exciting ways to celebrate their successes, and keep them engaged and informed of activities, both on the account and beyond.

**Responsibilities include**:
Support the functional communications team with key global communications and campaigns to support and drive the organizations’ objectives.
Create engaging and compelling content in various channels and formats to inform, connect, and energize key audiences.
Forge relationships with Real Estate & Facilities and Global Services Programs team members to provide communications support, bring their stories to the surface, and gain an in-depth understanding of their communication needs.
Pitch content and story ideas based on a global calendar of topics and events so you are ahead of the game and always have an arsenal of ideas to pull from.
Partner with design and communication team members to develop and maintain templates and toolkits to streamline the content creation process and enforce global consistency aligned to the latest style guidelines.
Support the identification, development, and integration of new technologies or initiatives, relating to communications.
Assist our global functional communications mangers with special projects and ad hoc requests as they arise.

What you need to be successful

**Skills and requirements we’d like to see**:
**Languages**:
Fluent and flawless written and spoken English is non-negotiable
Fluency in other languages a plus

**Technical knowhow**:
Microsoft Office proficiency, with focus on Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. SharePoint experience would be great, too.
Experience with other social media, internal communication, marketing, or collaboration tools such as Slack, Miro, and Teams
Experience creating multi-channel communication campaigns with the tech savvy to seamlessly connect them together
Adobe Creative Suite or other design/layout tools also a plus

Basic skills and qualifications that get your foot in the door:
Excellent written communication and design skills with experience creating engaging content for large and diverse audiences
A love of people, design, and storytelling a must
An understanding of how to build strategic communications plans aligned to business objectives that deliver results
Experience supporting global communications programs, ideally in real estate projects and operations
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills, a natural collaborator, proactive, and always congenial with coworkers, clients, leaders, and customers alike
Capable of aligning to and following global brand guidelines and writing style guides consistently
Ability to remain highly-effective in a remote and global environment while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and a willingness to work outside of normal business hours when necessary
An innovative spirit, curious, outside-the-box thinker, highly adaptable to change, and a preference for simplification of program and process

**Education/experience**:
3-5 years in communications or related field with progressively increasing responsibilities and a portfolio of work that demonstrates a variety of deliverables
Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Writing, Business Administration, or similar
