Avp-strategy & Business Analysis

The Role

As a key member of DFDA, the Assistant Vice President-Strategy & Business Analysis will be supporting the development of global strategies relared to Blokchain and cyrpto-assets, cutting across MIS’s lines of business. The AVP will have the opportunity to contribute to their execution and success in a newly created, very visible departement. Responsibilities will vary but, in general, will include the conceptualization and analysis of a wide range of issues critical to the MIS’s DeFi and Digital Assets strategy, as well as managing projects, supporting the development and monitoring of OKRs, creating presentations for various audiences, including senior management, and representing DFDA to internal constituents in the furtherance of the department’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing new initiatives and projects to advance the mission of DFDA.
- Define and manage complex cross-business initiatives (regulatory, strategic, and organizational changes) of various scales.
- Support project execution, track and ensure quality deliverables.
- Manage plans, following up on necessary actions, delays and mitigation strategies for critical work.
- Operationalize business concepts and strategies into practical and concrete tactics, practices and/or solutions.
- Draft management presentations and project presentations for project initiation and status updates; Assist with management reporting and team administration, including detailed monthly project reporting and tracking
- Own the creation and management of an organized project documentation library so that all team members and/or stakeholders can access the documentation easily.
- Support DFDA’s cross-functional mandate and strengthen relationships across MIS departments and Moody’s Shared Services by engaging staff at all levels to establish credibility, working in concert on common issues, building consensus and achieving shared objectives.
- Enable senior-management decision-making by effectively analyzing business drivers and constraints, and generate creative solutions to exploit opportunities.
- Determine what analyses and informational support are necessary to meet strategic and operational business needs.
- Manage administration activities that support the data, planning, scheduling, and reporting for various team projects.

Experience/Qualifications
- At least 6 years of work experience with exposure to financial services, preferred
- 2-3 years of experience with Moody’s preferred, ideally in project management or process improvement role
- Demonstrated familiarity with financial and business concepts
- Knowledge of Blockchain and crypto-assets a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills, evidenced through work experience, coursework and/or extracurricular involvement
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution

- Experience in producing management presentations preferred

- Familiarity or ability to learn various processes and computer products as needed
- Knowledge of credit, Blockchain, or digital assets is a plus
