Head of Strategy and Business

The Head of Strategy and Business will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for Moody’s Local in the Central America & Dominican Republic region. This role will also involve supporting the Managing Director (MD) of Moody’s Local in Latin America in managing affiliates and investments within the region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess the opportunities for Moody’s affiliates in the region and develop a strategic plan to capitalize on opportunities in the capital markets across Central America & The Caribbean.
- Collaborate with Moody’s Local and Moody’s Investor Services to evaluate potential investments, joint ventures, partnership opportunities, and strategic alliances.
- Support the MD of Moody’s Local in Latin America in executing the strategic priorities in the region.
- Evaluate the current footprint of Moody’s affiliates and the broader markets in the region.
- Lead the analysis of external market data and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to introduce new products or services, business lines, or extensions in the region.
- Collaborate with other senior managers of Moody’s in the region to assess its competitive position and coordinate the formulation of strategic plans or tactics to respond to market developments and opportunities.
- Manage Moody’s affiliates in the region to support the responsibilities listed above.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial accounting, modelling, and valuation techniques,
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Robust project management capabilities.
- Exposure to and understanding of the global and domestic capital markets is essential.
- Education Requirements: A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Management is required. An MBA is preferred.
- Language Skills: fluency in Spanish and English is required. Proficiency in Portuguese is preferred.
