**A DAY IN THE LIFE**
- Configure and deploy Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) systems, ensuring seamless integration into Medtronic's global storage infrastructure.
- Design and deploy backup infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, compliance standards, and security controls across all storage platforms.
- Engage in agile development cycles, delivering assigned tasks within monthly sprints, fostering a culture of trust, communication, and teamwork.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor usage patterns and trends, proactively identifying and resolving issues within enterprise storage pipelines.
- Provide lifecycle support for enterprise storage solutions, including leading managed services resources and setting platform maintenance guidelines.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex storage-related issues, troubleshooting SAN and NAS protocols across various operating systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to architect storage solutions aligned with business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with data center, server, database, and network infrastructure.
- Conduct capacity planning exercises in collaboration with managed services resources, proactively addressing potential space constraints.

**MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Designing, configuring, deploying, managing and supporting Network Attached Storage Systems, Storage Area Networks and fiber channel storage or Enterprise Backup.

**NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate storage management tasks.
- Experience with containerized storage solutions like Docker volumes or Kubernetes PersistentVolumes.
- Knowledge of cloud storage services
- Familiarity with software-defined storage (SDS) solutions
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery principles and technologies for storage systems.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) in storage environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere specifically in relation to storage provisioning and management.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in healthcare or other relevant industries affecting storage solutions.
- Familiarity with advanced storage features like deduplication, compression, and encryption.
- Ability to conduct performance tuning and optimization of storage systems for enhanced efficiency.
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and their intersection with storage networking.
- Understanding of emerging technologies such as NVMe over Fabrics (NVMeoF) and Storage Class Memory (SCM).
- Exposure to container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and their integration with storage solutions.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and methodologies for diagnosing storage-related network issues.
- Knowledge of industry-standard storage management frameworks such as SNIA's Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S).
- Experience with software-defined storage solutions for hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) deployments.
- Familiarity with data migration tools and methodologies for seamless movement of data between storage systems.
