Position Summary

Role Responsibilities
- Pitch commodities value proposition to persuade prospects to buy product/solution subscriptions
- Structure, negotiate and close deals
- Direct sales engagement by identifying and prioritizing targeted prospects
- Execute the sales strategy within provided territory
- Lever and communicate revenue-generating product use-cases and communicate features, benefits, key selling points, and competitive differentiations to prospects
- Provide insights and share Refinitiv thought leadership on our proposition with prospects
- Represent our business at industry events and conferences, build new relationships and articulate our value proposition to potential customers

Qualifications & Experience:

- Deep market understanding including expertise in Agriculture, Metals, Softs, and Energy (Oil, Gas and Power) - including Shipping
- World class selling skills (identify, develop, & articulate proposition/ consultative selling) as a sales’ “hunter”
- Strong sales ‘closer’
- Creative problem solver and good sales ideation skills
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
- Able to clearly articulate the product value proposition and how it relates to customer needs and workflow; understands how to translate the value proposition into ‘value messaging’ used by marketing
- Excellent presentation skills (verbal & written) - communicates effectively by adjusting style to audience
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to engage and connect with a range of internal stakeholders (partner teams, horizontal teams, business sectors/Proposition Team) and build close cohesive working relationships
- Able to organize and execute a sales plan - and operate independently, receives mínimal guidance from management
- Executive presence, Experience selling to C- level executives is a plus.
- 2+ years of industry, sales or market experience
- Consistent record in a quota bearing sales environment
