Visual/presentation Designer, Costa Rica

We're looking for a Visual/Presentation Designer, fluent in brand, marketing, and responsible for time-intensive visual design requests to join our fierce and growing internal studio team. We're growing the Smartsheet brand in every direction, and we need a designer with an ability to conceptualize narrative, experience, and systems with an insatiable appetite for human insight, visual storytelling, empathy, and connection to customers. In addition to being skilled in your craft, you will have the discipline to execute flawlessly end-to-end.

You will report to the Design Director located in Costa Rica.

**You Will**:

- Work with internal teams to design experiences across digital and physical touchpoints based on established style guides and design systems.
- Build and maintain working design files inside the team's collaborative file structure.
- Maintain brand consistency by conducting governance-related design tasks applied across channels and assets.
- Present your work to internal and external stakeholders to receive feedback and direction.
- Share (and document) your knowledge and perspective with your peers.
- Advocate for process improvements related to production efficiencies and best practices.
- Juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping priority and urgency.
- Continually adopt new tools and practices as the work evolves.

**You have**:

- 2+ years experience in graphic design, visual design, business presentation design and/or design production
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include English language proficiency
- A thorough understanding of digital marketing including video work
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to present ideas to various team members.
- Proficiency in design programs
- Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD)
- Power Point, Google Slides, Prezi and/or similar software.
- Motion is a bonus (After Effects)
- Web knowledge is a bonus (Figma, Zeplin, Webflow, HTML, CSS, Drupal CMS)
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Understanding of various cultures and trends
- Strong visual design skills with attention to typography, layout, color, and consistency
- Strong file organization and design production skills
- Ability to utilize feedback/direction from the Creative Manager and other peers to generate multiple design explorations and iterate those designs to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
