Job Description**
What you’ll be doing**
- Implement Test Automation leveraging test automation frameworks while driving processes to reduce manual test coverage.
- Test planning and test case creation and provide suggestion in improving the QA processes.
- Ensure our products meet high standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to QA BigData, REST API and Web Applications
- Perform Functional, Integration, Regression and Performance Testing
- Work with cross functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure a quality product is delivered

**What your background looks like**
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Expertise in Big Data technologies in Hadoop ecosystem
- Spark, Yarn, Kafka, Oozie, HBase, Hive, Spark, HDFS, MapReduce etc.
- Hadoop distributions like Cloudera (preferred)
- Hands on experience in REST API testing
- Automation framework using Python or Robot Framework
- Experience in performance / load testing REST API using JMeter or similar tools
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum concepts and tools like Jira/Zephyr/Bitbucket/Confluence
- Experience with Scala Spark is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of data analytics and data visualization
- Experience with Python and Ruby is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent one-on-one communication and presentation skills, specifically able to convey technical information in a clear and unambiguous manner
- Working knowledge of Linux operating system
- Working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence
- Working knowledge of Splunk
- Working Knowledge of search platforms like Solr is a plus
- Working Knowledge of SQL and noSQL databases

Qualifications:

- Technically focused Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, etc.
- Master Degree is a plus
