Monitoring Tools - Engineer

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepares and maintains technical documentation to assist with operation, maintenance, and development of the monitoring
- Identifies critical business transactions and implement tools to managing alert and response
- Identifies opportunities for streamlining processes through automation
- Works with the primary AMS support team to provide industry leading service and support
- Lead implementation of tools and monitoring with Outsourcing providers
- Manage and ensure Security remediation Implementation for all findings
- Service maintenance employing ITIL principles
- Lead problem Management and resolution
- Create systems for error handling, and logging

**Education and Experience required**
- Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in monitoring tools or a Master’s degree and up to two years of experience.
- Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Shell, etc.) & Automation tools knowledge (ansible, terraform, etc.)
- SolarWinds, NagiosXI, Zabbix, OpsRamp, Nagios Core with experience of 3-8 yrs
- Domain knowledge - Server, Network, Virtualization, Public Clouds, Application (Database, AD & DNS,) Containers.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- APM (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New relic) & Logs analytics (ELK, Splunk, etc.)
- Basic understanding of modern software development tools and SCM (software configuration management).
- Basic Knowledge of Server, Cloud, Virtualization, Database, Network, Containers Administration.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
