**Job Description**:
Job Summary:
The General Accountant responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze monthly balance sheet account variances to report results to 3M Corporate.
- Examine and interpret account records, compile financial information, and reconcile balance sheet and cash accounts to correct discrepancies and open balances.
- Perform process analysis and communicate recommendations to management.
- Conduct thorough review of departmental monthly spending, analyze, and calculate month-end-close accruals for temporary labors and utilities (electricity, gas) for 3M manufacturing plants.
- Prepare journal entries, perform accounting corrections, and trend analysis to ensure accurate records.
- Prepare and analyze daily cash position reports working with Bank of America and JP Morgan.
- Manage the Construction in Progress account. Responsible for AFE capitalizations, closing and expensing projects and new assets creation.
- Manage monthly depreciation and AFD calculation and processing.
- Reconcile unmatched receipts accounts, analyze vendor payments, and prepare monthly accruals to record expenses for accounts payable.
- Reconcile intercompany receivables and payables accounts, bank accounts such as lockbox and disbursements, PP&E and depreciation, Intangibles and amortization and trade receivables and payables accounts.

Required Qualifications

o Between 2 years of continuous experience in Accounting (GeneralLedger)

o Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent (accounting technician)

o Fluent English (B2+)

o Knowledge proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)

o Excellent communication skills

o Experience working with SAP
