**ROLE SUMMARY**

**What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?**

The Accounting Finance Lead leads the team ensuring timely closing of each period end in SAP in accordance with IFRS and /or US GAAP requirements. With a thorough understanding of core controllership processes, is responsible for the identification of areas for continuous improvement to drive productivity and strengthen the control environment across the function. The role will combine good accounting knowledge with communication skills and managerial capabilities.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Period End Reporting
- Lead the team through the month end, quarter end and year end process meeting all deadlines.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis in line with internal SLA's by supporting the team and providing guidance.
- Actively build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders
- Actively search out areas for process improvement, identify the gaps in efficiency and effectiveness and recommend the actions. Provide support to continuous improvement projects.
- Control and Compliance
- Responsible to ensure all SOX / operational and internal controls
- Managing Team Performance and Development
- First point of contact within transactional finance teams.
- Deliver processes as per SLAs agreed timings.
- Support your team when needed.
- Participate and lead projects or any ad hoc requirement.
- Coordinate and plan activities by using time efficiently.
- Prioritize and give visibility on the workload in each time - any coordination to distribute tasks within the team must be reviewed with your team leader.
- Capable of backing up any market within the team.
- Understand responsibility and capable of making decisions.

**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE**

**ESSENTIAL**

**Experience Required**
- Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP
- 5+ years’ experience in a multinational company.
- Knowledge of statutory and management accounting principles for the countries within AMER is an advantage.
- Strong accounting knowledge, ability to prepare Statutory, Management and other relevant reporting.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to work with various levels of employees and leaders (up to and including executives).
- Must have proven ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

**Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required**
- Good knowledge of SAP preferred
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- BPC acknowledge **is very desirable**:

- Strong customer focus

**Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required**
- CPA designation preferred.
- University degree (Accounting, Economic of Finance).
- Bilingual (Spanish and English level 95%+)
