**Accountant**:

Execution of tasks of the monthly accounting process related to various records, cash and bank control, fixed assets, and accounting closing, following methods, procedures, and accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (US GAAP) and Costa Rica (NIIFS)., as well as Costa Rican legislation and the Company's internal policies.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Record of transactions related to expenses, assets and liabilities. Management of the accounting cycle and knowledge in general accounting.
- Management of reconciliations of the Balance Sheet accounts and bank reconciliations.
- Records related to the capitalization of fixed assets and control of works in progress.
- Experience in fixed asset controls (inventories) and auxiliary fixed assets.
- Knowledge in processing returns according to Costa Rican legislation, CCSS returns, deductions for embargoes, income tax, solidarity association, withholdings at source, etc.
- Management of Legal Books and statutory financial statements.
- Knowledge of the Free Zone regime and relations with Procomer.
- Knowledge in the preparation of financial statements.
- Previous experience in dealing with internal and external audits.
- Knowledge in the preparation of Tax Returns for Direct and Municipal Taxation.
- Experience in physical inventory taking.
- Preferable but not essential management of BlackLine and reconciliations of balance accounts and task control.
- Knowledge related to the preparation of the annual operations report to Procomer.
- Knowledge in the preparation of the income tax return and fiscal reconciliation.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with operation under the Free Zone Regime.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter with good problem-solving and time management skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline focused
- Advanced knowledge of the English language (verbally and in writing)
- SAP experience is a plus
- Knowledge of United States Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (NIIFS).
- Knowledge of the Free Zone Regime

**Naturaleza del puesto**:
**Ejecución de labores del proceso contable mensual relacionadas con registros diversos, control de caja y bancos, activos fijos, y cierre contable, siguiendo métodos, procedimientos y los principios de contabilidad generalmente aceptados en los Estados Unidos (US GAAP) y Costa Rica (NIIFS), así como la legislación costarricense y las políticas internas de la Compañía.**:
**Principales tareas y responsabilidades.**
- Registro de transacciones relacionadas con gastos, activos y pasivos. Manejo del ciclo contable y conocimientos en contabilidad general.
- Manejo de reconciliaciones de las cuentas del Balance General y conciliaciones bancarias.
- Registros relacionados con la capitalización de activos fijos y control de obras en proceso.
- Experiência en controles de activo fijo (Inventarios) y auxiliares de activo fijo.
- Conocimiento en procesamiento de planillas acorde a la legislación costarricense, planillas CCSS, deducciones por embargos, impuesto sobre la renta, asociación solidarista, retenciones en la fuente, etc.
- Manejo de Libros Legales y estados financieros estatutorios.
- Conocimiento del régimen de Zonas Francas y las relaciones con Procomer.
- Conocimiento en la preparación de estados financieros.
- Experiência previa en la atención de auditorías internas y externas.
- Conocimiento en la preparación de Declaraciones de impuestos a Tributación Directa y Municipales.
- Experiência en tomas físicas de inventarios.
- Preferible pero no indispensable manejo de BlackLine y reconciliaciones de cuentas de balance y control de tareas.
- Conocimientos relacionados con la preparación del informe anual de operaciones a Procomer.
- Conocimientos en la preparación de la declaración del impuesto sobre la renta y reconciliación fiscal.
