**What You’ll Work On**

Under direction of the Controller, the Accountant performs professional accounting work, includes analyzing and verifying financial records and reports, preparing financial and statistical reports, providing information to managers regarding accounting practices and procedures, and reconciling general ledger accounts.

**You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks**
- Reconcile general ledger accounts; prepares journal entries to make corrections as necessary.
- Prepare monthly financial statements; consolidate financial statements.
- Assist the Controller in creating new financial reports as needed.
- Assist with annual budget preparation.
- Document accounting processes and assist the Controller with implementing accounting controls.
- Maintain accounting systems. Under the direction of the Controller, aid to improve systems and procedures by making use of current technologies.
- Participate in continuing professional education.

**What We're Looking For**
- Three or more years of accounting experience.
- Master’s degree in accounting, preferred.
- Industry accounting experience preferred.
- Five or more years of accounting experience preferred.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Punctuality with critical reporting and presentation deadlines.
- Clear communication and detail oriented.
- Ability to develop techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, in person and over the phone.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics - D365, preferred.

**Work Environment**
Able to work 40+ hours, depending on deadlines (extra hours may occasionally be required). Travel may occasionally be required. This job operated in a clerical office setting in Logan, UT. Routinely use standard office equipment (i.e., computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, etc.).

**Physical Requirements**
This position requires sitting for extended periods of time, use of hands, and occasional reaching. Requires the ability to see.
