As a Procurement Expert at GEP Worldwide, you will play a vital role in shaping our client's procurement strategies, ensuring the seamless execution of purchasing processes, and driving cost savings. About You:
- You hold a bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Science, Business, or Engineering, or a similar stream, or a combination of high school education and relevant experience.
- You have 2-3 years of previous buyer/procurement work experience, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- You possess fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written), with Portuguese being an added advantage.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply, leveraging your expertise to ensure optimal pricing and delivery times.
- Select contract/supplier to fill requisitions in accordance with approved Purchasing strategies, considering factors such as quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Determine if requested items are available in catalogue and implement predefined actions, utilizing your analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
- Process purchase orders not transacted electronically, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Identify and resolve PO/PR processing issues, collaborating with stakeholders to find effective solutions.
- Work with buyers/client group and suppliers to resolve delivery issues and process claims, maintaining strong relationships and resolving conflicts efficiently.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies & account disbursements, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain the Vendor Master Records/Updates/New Vendor Setup, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
- Collaborate with supplier and end-user to resolve invoice, damaged/returned goods, and ship date issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain professional interactions with outside suppliers as well as a strong partnership with client users, fostering a culture of trust and cooperation.
- Establish and follow up on shipping dates with suppliers, resolving issues with supplier/requestor for shipping dates, and advising customers of modifications from original requests.
- Obtain price information from approved supplier, generating POs from approved requisitions and routing high-value items not on contract to Sr. Buyer for resolution.
- Execute online events on client' system (RFP, auctions, among others) and provide trainings when required, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver results.
- Generate reports for online events' results, analyzing data to inform future strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Compensation Package:
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
