We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team at Stryker Corporation.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that involves performing complex accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliation approvals, and other accounting-related activities. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to delivering high-quality results.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Performing complex accounting activities within month-end closing, journal entries, fixed assets processes, cash, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and other related processes.
- Reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.
- Performing and reviewing Financial Statement analysis.
- Supporting coordination for closing and other key deliverables assigned by Supervisor or Lead analyst.
- Supporting coordination of migration of R2R processes from countries in scope.
- Executing assigned SOX controls and other activities related to internal and external audit requirements.
- Working closely with markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries in a timely manner by escalating to Supervisor as required.
- Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
- SAP systems knowledge is a plus.
- English language proficiency (B2 level).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, etc.).
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience preferably from Finance background in General Accounting activities: Journal entries processing, Account Reconciliations, Financial Reporting and Analysis, fixed assets, etc.
- Experience of working in a shared service center across a global/large organization/matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) will be an added advantage.
