Huntsman's Corporate Finance team is currently seeking a highly skilled Consolidation Accountant to join our newly formed regional hub in Costa Rica. As a US publicly traded international company, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the consolidation of financial information across our organization.
We have accounting teams in Kuala Lumpur, Costa Rica, Krakow Poland, and the US, providing an exciting opportunity to work with regional accounting teams and plug into Huntsman's established Continuous Improvement and Automation network. This will enable you to drive change, improve efficiency, deliver process improvements, and eliminate manual tasks through automation.
- Assist with the monthly group consolidation of all legal entities of the company.
- Oversee preparation and posting of elimination, consolidating, and topside entries.
- Review inter-company matching and local cash flow reconciliation submissions.
- Support the month-end close as needed.
- Liaise with other groups within Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury) to respond to corporate close and consolidation specific inquiries.
- Provide support and analyses for ad-hoc requests and special projects (acquisitions, divestitures, refinancing).
- Assist with the consolidation system maintenance and support.
- Coordinate and assist with various government filings.
- Maintain the monthly audit support binder.
- Assist external auditors with client requests.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A working understanding of US GAAP or IFRS.
- An understanding of financial statement preparation with an emphasis on cashflow preparation and reporting.
- Strong analytical and financial skills; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy.
