Global Import Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Import Operations Coordinator to join our team at Huntsman Corporation.
Job DescriptionAs a Global Import Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of goods into the United States. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Executing routine tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, utilizing SAP Transportation Module as the system of record for incoming imports.
- Investigating, requesting, and deciphering information received from overseas regarding upcoming shipments to the US, ensuring that all documentation requirements are met.
- Relaying information to brokers where necessary and ensuring that Supply Chain stakeholders are informed of the current status of shipments.
You will be responsible for tracking and tracing imports, updating and archiving relevant information, and ensuring that customs entries are filed and shipping documents are distributed by required deadlines.
Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesYour key accountabilities and responsibilities will include:
- Problem-solving in a deadline-driven operation involving different countries, time zones, and cultures.
- Exception management adaptability, resolving problems not encountered before with no clear instructions on how to resolve, but there is willingness to find solutions and conclude.
- Meeting regulatory and compliance standards, ensuring that the company is compliant with international trade agreements and customs legislation, particularly with the United States.
- Participating in high-performance team culture, participating in team meetings and exchanges information with respect and trust to promote unity, backing up other team members, and maintaining an organized workspace.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities.
- Experience in supply chain-related work, including direct hands-on SAP experience (a minimum of 3 years).
- Working knowledge of Freight Forwarder or Brokerage Operations, including IATA, NVOCC, basic import/export regulations (AES), FMC, Clearance procedures.
- Understanding of the preparation of IMO forms and hazardous regulations and SDS Sheets.
- Understanding of Import and Export Cargo Shipping Instructions, Certificates of Origin, Shipping Invoices, Bill of Lading, and other relevant documentation.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High ability to multitask and prioritize.
