Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete procurement cycle by identifying appropriate suppliers, executing requests for proposals, and conducting price evaluations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant insights into assigned commodity areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a proactive environment for supplies and consumables.
  • Execute RFx sourcing and benchmarking for assigned commodities and services, providing analysis to support supply recommendations.
  • Understand standard purchasing practices, working independently with suppliers to resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, requisitions, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Analyze supplier quotations and manage daily interactions, including purchase orders and delivery issues.
  • Actively participate in the Sourcing Team to ensure adherence to procurement protocols.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and market research to support client needs.
  • Assist clients with daily sourcing requests, cost management, and supplier performance oversight.
  • Analyze spending data to inform procurement strategies.
  • Gather and analyze data to provide consistent insights to clients.

Qualifications

  • Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree (or in progress) in a relevant field such as Science, Business, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in managing the procure-to-pay process and RFX auctions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish and English is required; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
  • Other Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently without close supervision. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills. Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of project management and sourcing principles. Strong financial analysis and quantitative abilities. Business acumen with an understanding of market dynamics. Effective negotiation skills, including the ability to develop eAuction strategies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and ERP/P2P systems.
