Senior Security Strategy Consultant

Position Overview

ATSG is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Senior Security Strategy Consultant in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will be integral to the ATSG team, fostering collaboration with the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs' (INL) under the Central America Regional Security Initiative (CARSI) - Costa Rica task order. Following the success of the initial CARSI contract, this role will broaden the scope of operations to encompass all WHA countries. The CARSI Initiative represents a significant and intricate multilateral security program, providing financial resources for the U.S. Government to assist CARSI nations in enhancing police professionalism, reforming the justice sector, combating narcotics, managing border security, preventing crime and violence, and promoting anti-corruption measures.

Essential Qualifications
  • U.S. citizen, TCN or LN.
  • MRPT certification or RSO Clearance for foreign nationals.
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, law enforcement, public administration, or a related field; or ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
  • FSI level 3/3 proficiency in Spanish.
  • FSI level 3/3 proficiency in English.
  • Experience in delivering briefings in both Spanish and English.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the relevant field, which must include:
  • Three (3) years of experience in an overseas Embassy environment; or,
  • Three (3) years of specialized supervisory experience in areas such as intelligence, firearms, gang-related issues, kidnapping, narcotics, or internal affairs.
