Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to lead and manage our design team, creating engaging and effective sales enablement materials. As a Design Lead, you will provide art direction support, people management, process improvement, and stakeholder management to ensure all design projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain a strong design vision and creative direction
- Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design initiatives
- Conduct research, user testing, and design iterations to ensure designs are user-friendly, intuitive, and effective
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design technology
- Manage projects and ensure producers manage projects to agreed scopes and timescales, including integrated projects where digital, print, events, media, and social media components require coordination and cohesion
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience as an art director
- Strong knowledge of photography, video production, interactive PDFs, and client pitch/proposal
- Ability to develop creative briefs based on ideas from brainstorming sessions, with direction, schedules, and deliverables for the creative team
- Superior understanding of the fundamental concepts of print and web publishing and graphic design principles
- Ability to receive, interpret, and implement constructive feedback from project stakeholders in your design work
- Strong creative vision and visual arts skills with an established portfolio of business-to-business print and digital marketing collateral
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign (interactive), Photoshop, and Illustrator along with a good knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
