Creative Director of Visual Branding

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our design team in creating engaging sales enablement materials. As a key member of our business, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, providing art direction support, and ensuring consistency across all design initiatives.
About the Role:
As a Creative Director of Visual Branding, you will oversee the development of a strong design vision and creative direction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design goals and objectives, conduct research, user testing, and design iterations to ensure that designs are user-friendly, intuitive, and effective. Additionally, you will present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and senior leadership, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design technology.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain a strong design vision and creative direction
- Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design initiatives
- Conduct research, user testing, and design iterations to ensure that designs are user-friendly, intuitive, and effective
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design technology
- Manage projects and ensure producers manage projects to agreed scopes and timescales, including integrated projects where digital, print, events, media, and social media components require coordination and cohesion
Requirements:
- At least 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design or art school with a significant equivalent experience
- Strong creative vision and visual arts skills with an established portfolio of business-to-business print and digital marketing collateral
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign (interactive), Photoshop, and Illustrator along with a good knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain design decisions in words and writing
- Demonstrable ability to work proactively and autonomously and be accountable for own decisions
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, drawn, and verbal means
- Positive, demonstrable people management skills
