The Data Quality Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be an integral part of the Data Management Operations team within the Finance division. This role comes with key responsibilities including:
- Ensuring strict adherence to operational, risk, and control processes related to the Full Suite-Genesis Operating Model.
- Leading a team of intermediate-level colleagues to deliver key activities such as:
- Trend analysis of Operational Matching exception reports on a daily basis.
- Reviewing Operational Matching exceptions (SGL orphans) to identify root causes and implement remediation strategies.
- Identifying both tactical and strategic solutions to resolve Operational Matching exceptions (SGL orphans).
- Executing data remediation in Full Suite in accordance with existing governance and controls frameworks.
- Proposing appropriate strategic remediation paths for data quality issues.
- Managing end-to-end requirements and testing of Full Suite change requests related to strategic remediation of data quality issues.
- Raising IMR forms when necessary and monitoring delivery of those resolutions.
- Addressing data quality queries and issues on Full Suite-Genesis production data through proper acknowledgement and timely feedback to data users.
- Conducting second-level investigations into medium to complex data quality queries/issues on Full Suite-Genesis production data and proposing resolution paths.
- Escalating timely to relevant resolver groups if data investigation requires external expertise.
- Effectively managing escalations from diverse stakeholders and establishing partnerships with key business counterparts.
- Preparing and communicating operational metrics and KPIs within EIO&T.
- Leading small to medium-sized projects and initiatives related to data services, including process reviews and process efficiency enabler implementations.
- Supervising junior to intermediate-level team members, promoting team collaboration, career growth, and mentorship.
To succeed in this position, candidates must possess:
- 6-8+ years of relevant experience in data management, data quality, financial or regulatory reporting, or product control in large financial services, consulting, shared services' operations-related industries.
- Strong people management and conflict management skills.
- Agile leadership abilities or capacity to adapt different leadership styles according to situational needs.
- Solid analytical skills, combined with the ability to deliver concise and logical analyses.
- Logical and analytical data tracing/mining experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of research methods, relational database or data relation discipline problem-solving techniques.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge and experience with MS Suite Applications, especially around MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Familiarity with Citi's financial and regulatory reporting processes, finance and risk systems, including GENESIS, Full Suite, Product Processors, General Ledgers, Reporting Ledgers.
- Understanding of similar Quality Assurance / Citi Lean / Process Improvement practices applied to data quality operations.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills – capable of presenting and influencing across organizational levels and functions.
- Good project/time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Self-starter, proactive, quick learner, customer-focused, able to independently manage work and drive multiple deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced changing environment.
- High-caliber team player with good judgment, flexibility, and productivity, with a track record of establishing partnerships and teamwork.
- Able to multitask, demonstrating independent leadership skills.
- Possess strong team building, planning, and project management skills driven by process improvement.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of internal control environments, reporting, and metrics are required.
Education-wise, candidates should hold a Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
