Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Heredia, Costa Rica. This role will be responsible for managing accounts payable and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Register invoices issued by suppliers and manage account statements
- Manage internal approval for payment of invoices
- Process and account for invoices in our accounting systems
- Ensure compliance with supplier payment terms and make timely payments
- Manage inquiries from suppliers and internal customers in English
- Contact suppliers to rectify incorrect invoices
- Support internal and external audit inquiries
- Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate effectively
- Perform SOX checks as assigned
- Ensure smooth workflow and review GR/IR account for successful closing
- Complete special projects as requested by supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in similar positions
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Advanced knowledge of English language (verbal and written)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, good problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on deadlines
- Experience in SAP is a plus
- Good internal and external customer service skills
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
