Compensation Reconciliation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Compensation Reconciliation Specialist to join our team at People Working Corp.
Job SummaryThis is a key role within our organization, responsible for investigating and resolving overpayment discrepancies, credit balances, returned hospital reimbursement checks, and addressing patient concerns.
Responsibilities- Coding Discrepancies: Perform and validate the coding of the reason for the discrepancy.
- Refund Processing: Initiate refunds of identified overpayments and resolve open discrepancies.
- Returns Monitoring: Monitor returns and initiate timely refunds.
- Credit Balance Resolution: Review and resolve credit balances.
- Patient Communication: Accept phone calls and resolve patient questions.
- Investigation and Resolution: Investigate returned refund checks and take steps to resolve them.
- Problem Identification: Identify problematic accounts/processes/trends and escalate them.
- Documentation Standards: Use effective documentation standards that support a solid historical record of actions taken in relation to the account.
- Mathematical Operations: Ability to perform basic mathematical operations that guarantee the accuracy of the account statement.
- Productivity and Quality: Comply with the organization's productivity and quality standards.
- Education and Training: Timely complete and understand all educational requirements.
- Code of Conduct: Practice and adhere to the philosophy of Code of Conduct and Mission and Values Statement.
- Additional Duties: Other duties as assigned.
- Language Skills: English Spanish Language (Oral and writing 85% or higher), (B2+ or above).
- Education: Must have a high school diploma.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in Customer Service or Backoffice positions.
- Schedule Adjustment: The resource will adjust its local schedule with the resources supporting this position during Daylight Savings time changes in the Eastern Time Zone.
- Customer Focus: A genuine interest in working with and helping customers.
- Communication Skills: Must possess excellent communication skills and involvement.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good presentation and a polite, tactful, and friendly character.
- Healthcare Experience: Healthcare experience is a plus.
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
