Job Description

The AVP Risk Management role is responsible for supporting the implementation of MIS's Risk Management Framework and Program. This includes providing support for the first line of defense and ongoing monitoring and support once operationalized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Vice President, Risk Management - Ratings Operations & Controls in preparation for interactions with presentations to MIS governing bodies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and improve the MIS Risk Management Program, including policy, procedure, tool development, governance, due diligence, on-going monitoring, reporting, and education & awareness.
  • Oversee the Ratings Operations Risk Committee (RORC) and its subcommittees, ensuring effective governance.
  • Develop and maintain Risk Control and Self-Assessments (RCSA's) in line with MIS standards.
  • Provide guidance to business segments and functional areas related to risks posed by operational activities.
  • Assist key business partners with documenting remediation plans.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Internal Audit, Internal Control, or Risk Management.
  • Relevant work experience in risk management, compliance, or internal controls.
  • Strong technical skills related to risk management for a globally regulated organization.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
