Position Overview:

Boston Scientific is seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 System Administrator to enhance our IT department and oversee the configuration, security, and compliance of our cloud-based services. This role entails implementing and upholding best practices and policies for M365 Governance, ensuring optimal performance and availability of our services and data. A solid technical foundation combined with a strategic mindset, collaborative abilities, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and strong communication capabilities are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, focusing on identity and access management, device management, data protection, threat protection, and compliance management.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 services, utilizing various diagnostic tools and methodologies.
  • Provide technical assistance and direction to end-users and stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and requests.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, policies, and procedures for Microsoft 365 administration and governance.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft 365 and related technologies, proposing enhancements and improvements.
  • Exhibit technical leadership by remaining current on emerging technologies.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with IS services (database, data center, servers, desktop, networking, security) and software vendors as necessary.
  • Create and maintain all required technical documentation in accordance with IS methodologies and processes.
  • Adhere to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource needs.
  • Communicate project status effectively, escalate issues as needed, and manage timelines and action items.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team (internal and external) to ensure timely solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft 365 Administration, Configuration, and Governance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell automation.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services and features, including Azure Active Directory, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, Power Platform, and Security and Compliance Center.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation for managing Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong, proactive work ethic.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 5 years in Microsoft 365 Administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team, both in-person and virtually.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification in Microsoft 365 or related technologies, such as MS-100, MS-101, MS-500, or MS-700, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices.
