The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a Licentiate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Biomedicine. They will also have at least 7 years of experience in similar positions and a Master's degree is desirable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing pioneering engineering work as part of major programs, assisting in and/or managing functional deliverables, and ensuring technical excellence for product or technical development. They will also drive complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures and work with project managers to understand priorities and plans resource and time allocation accordingly.
In addition, the successful candidate will provide guidance to product and technology teams, assess the feasibility and soundness of alternative engineering processes, products, or equipment, and coordinate manages and document project goals and progress. They will also interact with Physicians/Cath Lab personnel to identify needs and to obtain feedback on concepts and performance of the devices and to translate customer needs into product concepts.
