Law Enforcement Professionalization Opportunity

ATSG Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Law Enforcement Professionalization Specialist to join our team in San Jose, Costa Rica. The successful candidate will work on the Law Enforcement Professionalization (LEP) project, enhancing our partnership with the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs' (INL) on the Central America Regional Security Initiative (CARSI) - Costa Rica task order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on police professionalization and justice sector reform to the governments of Central America and other WHA countries.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. Department of State and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective law enforcement strategies.
  • Conduct training and capacity-building programs for law enforcement officials in the region.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance law enforcement capabilities.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizen, TCN, or LN.
  • MRPT certification or RSO Clearance for foreign nationals.
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or ten (10) years of related professional law enforcement experience.
  • FSI level 3/3 Spanish and English.
  • Experience briefing in Spanish and English.
  • Fifteen (15) years' experience with U.S. or other country law enforcement or military, including three (3) years working overseas in an Embassy environment or three (3) years specialized experience.
