Law Enforcement Professionalization Opportunity

ATSG Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Law Enforcement Professionalization Specialist to join our team in San Jose, Costa Rica. As a Police Advisor for International Development, you will play a critical role in enhancing our partnership with the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs' (INL) on the Central America Regional Security Initiative (CARSI) - Costa Rica task order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to the ATSG team on law enforcement professionalization and capacity building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with international partners to develop and implement effective law enforcement strategies and programs.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in law enforcement capacity and capabilities.
  • Develop and implement training programs and capacity building initiatives to enhance law enforcement skills and knowledge.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to law enforcement agencies and institutions to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizen, TCN or LN.
  • MRPT certification or RSO Clearance for foreign nationals.
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, law enforcement, public policy or ten (10) years of related professional law enforcement experience.
  • FSI level 3/3 Spanish.
  • FSI level 3/3 English.
  • Experience briefing in Spanish and English.
  • Fifteen (15) years' experience with U.S. or other country law enforcement or military, which must include:
  • Three (3) years working overseas in an Embassy environment; or,
  • Three (3) years specialized experience depending on the position (e.g. intelligence, firearms, gangs, kidnapping, drugs, internal affairs).
