Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Management Specialist to join our team in Heredia, Costa Rica. The successful candidate will have a solid background in database administration and a proven ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Build database systems that meet the specific needs of each end user;
  • Design and implement databases according to end-user requirements;
  • Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in the appropriate format, and in a timely manner;
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses;
  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data;
  • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required;
  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a Database Administrator;
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL;
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding;
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools;
  • Familiarity with programming languages API;
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically;
  • Experience working in SCRUM methodology (Nice to Have);
  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges (Nice to Have);
  • Confident, takes ownership, willingness to get the job done (Nice to Have);
  • Excellent verbal communications and cross-group collaboration skills (Nice to Have);
  • English C1;
  • Full-time position (8 hours).
