Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Assistant to join our team in Kekoldi, Costa Rica. As a Field Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our programs, ensuring participants have a fantastic experience, and contributing to the success of our conservation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Conservation Program Coordinator in managing the daily running of the project.
  • Collect and maintain accurate data for research projects.
  • Develop and implement research projects with the team.
  • Participate in diverse conservation projects in the field.
  • Manage large groups of participants, ensuring their safety, happiness, and overall well-being.
  • Lead surveys and training sessions as required.
  • Support the Conservation Program Coordinator with planning, operating, and developing a successful conservation program.
  • Set high expectations and be a good role model for participants.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A passion for wildlife conservation and a science-led approach.
  • A degree or relevant experience working in the conservation or environmental sector.
  • Experience with data collection and entry.
  • Ability to work in remote and challenging conditions.
  • Familiarity with people-centric management and 24/7 support.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Additional certifications such as Emergency First Response may be advantageous.
