About the Role
The Technology Risk Manager role is a key position within the project, enabling successful delivery of a major program of work. This role will provide support to the Program Executive and senior management in identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting program risks.
A Day in this Role
- Develop accurate RAID logs for each project within the program and the program itself.
- Report project risks to the program risk level for visibility by senior management to act on potential significant impacts on agreed program delivery parameters.
- Escalate and communicate issues effectively and accurately.
- Provide regular reports on project and program performance and overall health to senior leadership and program sponsors, ensuring ongoing management of related risks in operational areas.
- Provide Senior Executive status reporting on programs and project risk for senior governance forums, enabling greater accountability for action owners and executives.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements within program scope and escalate issues promptly.
- Ensure project leads understand the importance of adhering to their regulatory obligations and the implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Support and facilitate reviews and gap analysis of compliance with all relevant Risk Policies and Standards within the program.
- Provide thought leadership on control design and testing within the program, incorporating industry best practices and recognized external frameworks to enable benchmarking and external validation of the control environment.
- Design and maintain the controls testing operating model to support the program, considering resourcing, reporting lines, organizational structure, talent, location, and strategic goals of the program.
