About the Role

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a seasoned professional in risk management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of controls and mitigation of risks within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate governance and facilitation of Manager Control Assessment (MCA) as required by MCA Standard, assessing and approving risks associated with business changes.
  • Contribute to quality, completeness, and accuracy of implementation of Control Framework, including Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy, Lesson Learned Policy, and Control Inventory.
  • Support identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommend holistic corrective actions and improvements, providing check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in accordance with Issue Management and Escalation Policies.
  • Influence decisions on review and challenge process, within HR and HR Data teams, on effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks as required by Control Standards, including implementation and operation, conducting control monitoring, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for resolution.
  • Analyze data to support timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of MCA through controls prior to execution of a process (QC).
  • Influence decisions to support adherence to MCA Standard through controls after execution of a process (QA).
  • Support and contribute to Operational and Compliance Risk in accordance with established Policy requirements.
  • Work with team to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories, including material, emerging, and concentration risks in accordance with enterprise Policies and establishment of Key Indicators to monitor risk exposures.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in managing risk in processes.
  • Thorough understanding of controls to limit risk and development of supporting metrics to act as alarms or validation of healthy and sustained control environment.
  • Experience with workflow systems, audit, and review of risk-related controls.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
