The Logistics Opportunity

This role works out of our Alajuela, Zona Franca Coyol location in EP Business. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Responsibilities

This position executes Documentation Control activities which include:

  • Receiving trucks and unloading merchandise.
  • Supporting receiving of incoming raw material, MROS, and miscellaneous materials.
  • Physical goods receiving, packaging, and labeling.
  • Stacking materials on racks based on size, style, color, dimension, and value stream.
  • Assisting material and container storage and movement between warehouse areas or other sites selected as per company needs.
  • Supporting work order kitting based on work order production planning process.
  • Dispatching components to the production floor when needed.
  • Supporting finish good shipment packaging and miscellaneous shipments based on shipment schedules.
  • Assisting inventory transactions posting in SAP for the transfer and adjustment of inventory.
  • Assisting the cycle count process.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe for people traffic and efficiency.
  • Other logistics-related activities as assigned.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A high school degree required.
  • At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience.
  • Good aptitude, good vision, and the ability to accurately use detailed measurement instruments such as scales.
  • The capacity to calculate, coordinate, detect, evaluate, and collect detailed information.
  • A valid Theory test for driving approved for COSEVI.
  • Experience with hydraulic jacks, digital scales, and other warehouse equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience (1-2 years) in a warehouse role in a medical device or pharmaceutical company would be beneficial.

Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly preferred, as is Category B1 and D3 license. Basic English proficiency is also desirable.

Intermediate computer knowledge and prior knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations are advantageous.

Familiarity with SAP systems is highly appreciated.

This role requires a variable shift, including Monday to Friday at 3:30pm - 10:00pm and Saturday at 8:00am - 3:30pm. The estimated salary for this role is around $40,000-$50,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
